Jessica Beth Redish is a 2016 Helen Hayes Award Winner for Outstanding Choreography for her work on SILENCE! THE MUSICAL at Studio Theatre in Washington, DC. She currently resides in NYC, where her credits include: Movement Direction for ADDING MACHINE Off-Broadway (dir. David Cromer), choreography for THE ACT at 54 Below, and direction and/or choreography at: Musical Theatre Factory, NYMF, NYFringe, Raw Impressions & Ars Nova. Ms. Redish served as the Founding Artistic Director of The Music Theatre Company outside Chicago where she directed and choreographed PIPPIN (Jeff Award Nomination – Choreography), MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG (Jeff Award Nomination – Midsize Musical), ERIKA’S WALL, THE 9/11 REPORT (Bookwriter & Conceiver), SAUDADE: DREAMS AND LONGING (Conceiver), Co-directed, Choreographed & Conceived OSCAR & RICHARD & JOE: AN EVENING ABOUT RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN'S ALLEGRO presented at Ravinia Festival and choreographed THE PAJAMA GAME and PRETTY PERSEPHONE, a new short musical by Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. Chicago area choreography: SWEET CHARITY and SHE LOVES ME (Writers Theatre), RENT at American Theater Company/About Face Theatre (dir. David Cromer) SEASON ON THE LINE at The House Theatre of Chicago and various productions at First Stage in Milwaukee. TV Choreography: National PBS Special featuring the a cappella group "Gentleman's Rule." Music Video Direction: Jess Godwin -"Be a Light" & Janelle Kroll - "Down To You," (& choreographer) Music & Lyrics by Joni Mitchell; Movement Director: Janelle Kroll - "Sunny Days," Co-director: Justin Stein - "Lovin U (Looking At The Stars)"  

Jessica commissioned works by Billy Corgan, Josh Schmidt, David Simpatico, Michael Mahler, and Diana Lawrence. Her work has been seen as a guest artist at Perry Mansfield, Hollins University, Roosevelt University Northwestern University, and North Central College. Ms. Redish was a reader for the National Music Theater Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center and currently serves on the Membership Commitee of The Musical Theatre Factory in NYC and the Industry Advisory Board of the Music Theater Choreography Module at Northwestern University.

Upcoming: Concert staging for singer/songwriter Brooke Moriber, music video direction for The Lincoln Squares' "Brighter Days," and continuing development of her play created at the Barn Arts Collective in Maine entitled R*CKSTAR. Jessica is an alumna of Northwestern University and a proud member of SDC.
